The Skipper jumped to the front of the Ship. The otters onboard grinned as they saw thier leader take control again. it was a sight they were glad to see. Not that Blade wasnt a good leader but there was no-one like Irvine. He had Done many things for them and they were all greatfull. There wasnt one beast onboard whom he had'nt saved.
"Furl The Sails! Hual the ancor! Make for the Cove Lad....And bundle up.....I can see snow...."

Tom got out of his rowboat as it hit the sandy beach. True to Irvine's word, snow started to fall. Only, it seemed like it was a dream, the snow fell as if it was barely hindered by gravity. The rest of the rowboats were quickly emptied. "Okay, set up camp in the cave. I'll take my patrol to recon the area." He said. The troops rushed to do his bidding, most grateful to have earth under their paws. "Tree Wraiths! Form up on me!" He commanded. A gathering of squirrels, mice, and a hedgehog formed up into two rows, and marched smartly away into the surrounding forest that lined the Sea.

"The Ship pulled into the cove and the gangplank was thrown to the other stoney side. The otter stode to the back of the ship to get tents and such to set up inside the cove. The second thing they did was get the fishing nets. "Eh tom! Show me yer fishing skills!" he shouted over to him.
((if that is were he is...))

Unfortunately, Tom was out scouting with his patrol, the Tree Wraiths, the squirrels and most of the mice tree-jumping silently, which the 'Grounder' scout was the hedgehog, running along the ground. If he spots an enemy beneath them, they can adress the problem more readily. They followed a hardly noticeable trail, assumed to be left by Blade and some others.

A small outlook group of Dannarths army made up of 30 at the edge of the forest heard something in the trees. They turned seeing the scout group of Tom and his band.
The Group was made up of Wildcats...strong ones...They were dressed in heavy cloth for the harsh winter weather with strong metal armor under it. They each carried a torch, a Bow, and a longsword. 1 of them held the torch infront of the beast beside them in whcih the other grabbed his bow and lit the arrows firring it at the group in the trees.

Arrows whistled from below suddenly at the Patrol. "Fire arrows! Scatterpad formation!" Tom yelled, galvanized into action by the sudden attack. The hedgehog was hit in several places by the flaming shafts, as well as a mouse. The Tree Wraiths scattered, and made like their namesake, becoming one with the twilight shadows. Every now and then an arrow would come in at odd angles at the Wildcats. In the boughs of an Elm, Tom let an arrow loose at an unprotected head, then bounded out of sight as the tree was lit up by a dozen fire arrows. They had numbers, but Tom's patrol had tactics.

The Wildcat incharge poitned to the trees signalling them to Burn the trees. A few of them began burning them while the rest kept firing. Suddenly a wildcat Drew back his limbs and let onto a tree digging his claws into it he began slowly climbing it. He drew his dagger and waited for a squirrel to come around.

Lieutenant Ashley saw what the wildcats intended to do, and silently gestured for the whole patrol to shoot once at the fire-makers. They obliged willingly, shooting their arrows, and retreating back into the forest depths. Ashley did not know, however, that the very tree she was on was being climbed by an enemy soldier.

The Leader suddenly weaved in front of the Squirell and grabbed it by the throat and tossed it violently to the ground.

The fall would have killed most creatures, that is, if Ashley ever hit the ground. Still dazed at the Leader's move, she managed to swipe at a passing branch, only to miss it. Tom grabbed her other paw and hauled her up onto the Pine branch. "That's two ye owe me, Lieutenant!" He said, and bounded off, seeking out the leader, who was higher up. He spotted the cat clinging onto the trunk, facing away from him. He fitted shaft to string, and let the arrow fly, a mere twenty paces in between shooter and target.

Luckily the Wind and snow moved the arrow off target into the bark inches from him. He released his claws from the bark and jumped down from the tree branch landing directly infront of tom cracking the branch sending all three of them to the ground. He stood high over Tom towering him and covering him in a large shadow. With a swipe of his armored paw he knocked tom out the way and went for Ashely aiming to take her back to Floret.

Tom lay stunned on the forest floor, still reeling from the wildcat's punch. Ashley instantly got up out of a bush and drew a shortsword, since her bow was missing from when the wildcat first threw her off the tree. "Come get some, cat!" She threatened him with the tip of the blade, ready to lunge at a moment's notice. Feinting a chop was easy. A lunge, more difficult. But Ashley came within centimeters of the cat's chestplate, then cut upwards, aiming to slice his nose in two halves.

The wildcat leaned his head to the left allowing the sword to slice his cheek. He knocked the blade out of the squirrels hands and grabbed her throat tossing her against a boulder to knock her out.

Ashley was effectively disarmed, and unconsious. However, Tom was coming to, behind the cat. He raised his sword, and yelled out a challenge. "Over here, cat!" He then leaped up, almost over his head as only a squirrel could do, then slashed downwards with a forceful blow.
