"Hmm, That sounds like our martin all right." Soubi smiled as he looked at Dwopple. Now that he knew, he could easily destinguish The Warriors elegent features in the young mouse.

"whacha mean?" Dwopple asked, his face scrunched in confusion. He knew Papa went down south... he had no idea he built an abbey!

"This might be an odd coincidence, or perhaps..." Silas trailed off, dubious. He had never seen a portrait of Martin the warrior, and therefore couldn't see a resemblance.

"Aye, it's no coincidence, matie. That's definatly his son." The Abbess started to explain to the young warrior. "Your papa met up with the first Abbess of Redwall and helped to build our great home."

Dwopple's eyes became very large. " weally?" he asked, amazed. He thought of the last thing he had seen of his village. His house in flames, the roof collapsing in. Mama and Papa, gone. Mama was laying on the ground, asleep. Papa had lead a charge against the vermin, and had almost won..almost. He was asleep now too. Dwopple ran, he ran and never looked back, the sounds of battle and carnage ringing in his ears and haunting his dreams.

Wait a minute... Silas thought. This is impossible. It says in that book that Martin the Warrior died unmarried, and did not have any sons or daughters. He paused, thinking. Then He got up to clean the assortment of utensils and plates off the table. He reached for one, which had an insignia on it. Etched into the back of the plate was "Corpral Thomas Calver". He then thought of how he got into this mess called his life, and wondered what his friend was doing. If he's even Alive... He thought.

**For Silias: Taggle and I have been talking through IM and we desided Dwopple will be Martin's great Grandson instaid of his son. And Silias will travle back in time and stuff to see why the book was wrong. Sorry, but I kinda gotta PP ye abit to get ye to sleep**
The small party finnished the food and talked far into the night. They sat in armcharis around a small fire. Dwopple had fallen asleep in the Abbess's lap. They seemed to be taking a liking to eachother. Rakko talked quietly with Silias about the possability of Dwopple's being a desendent of Martin and Serval and Soubi looked through the book.
It was getting on Mid Night and Silias streched. "I think I'm gonna turn in." He stood and shook his bushy tail. "Do you need a bed to sleep in?" "No, matie. We're fine thanks, though, a few blankets for the youngone might be of use." Silias nodded and left. A few seconds later, he returned and set them on the chair he had left. "Night." He said, then left again. Rakko mad a nice bed in the armchair and walked to the Abbess. He picked up the small dibbun who sturred slightly at being moved. Rakko set im in the blanket and he quieted down.
Rakko sat in the armchair beside Dwopple's and nodded to the Abbess and Soubi. "Good night maties. Let our dreams solve at least some of this puzzle..." The Abbess and Soubi quickly drifted into dreamland after him.
[glow=purple,2,300]It was night. A small, dark clearing was vissible in the plae light of the half waxing moon. Rakko looked around. He was alone. He wondered what kind of a dream was so real. He could feel the wind on his face. He walked into the bushes and stepped on a thorn. He gave a cry of pain as it pirced his footpads. Pain! What kind of dream did you feel real pain in! He brought the paw to eye level and yanked the thorn out. He was more carful after that. he returned to the clearing and was surprised to find he was not alone.
The Abbess, Soubi, Dwopple, and Silias all stood in the clearing, looking just as puzzled as he felt. Rakko walked up to them.[/glow] [glow=brown,2,300]"Have you ever been here before?" [/glow][glow=purple,2,300]He asked. They shook their heads. This was definatly odd. Pain. Plesure. Friends. What kind of a dream was this? He walked up to another tree and looked behind it, then stopped. He looked back, eyes wide in concentration. He had heard somthing...[/glow]

Dwopple looked around, bewildered. Out of the bushes emerged a mouse, who had the air of confidence about him. He carried a great broadsword across his back, with a blazing red pommel stone. The amazing thing was, he looked exactly like Dwopple, except older. He noticed the small group, offering a courteous "hello. My name is Martin. Who might you be?" he asked, looking at each of the group in turn till his eyes came to rest on Dwopple. His eyes widened fractionally. Dwopple looked exactly like him!

The Abbess Picked up Dwopple and looked at the elder mouse. "Martin." She nodded, so as to hold back her excitement. Rakko looked at him curiously. 'Martin...This is odd. A wierd dream indeed.' "My name is Serval." She nodded and each said their name in turn. They nodded to the warrior, each hiding their excitement.
When they had finnished, rakko stepped forward again. "Martin. Do you know where we are? We seem to be...Lost."

" why yes, certainly. You are in the Northlands, near the forst Marshank. At a most innopportune time i might add." Martin said, the light of battle in his eyes. The battle for Marshank was about to begin. He looked back in the direction he came from, thinking of Rose.

Rakko's eyes widened as he realized where they were. "We're ware we where! I mean...This is the clearing where Silias's hut was. But...wait. Why isn't it hear?" He was clearly failing to hide the excitment from his voice. "Wait. the battle for Marshank did you say? The...first battle?"

Martin looked at him strangely. " Yes, Marshank. And, first battle? This is the only battle for Marshank matey." the mouse said, grinning. Badrang will pay. I swear it." He looked at Dwople. " something about you matey... its familiar." Martin realised it. He looked exactly the same at that age..down to the whisker.

Rakko smiled at Martin. "This is so cool..." He lookeda round, taking in his suroundings. Suddenly, it didn't feel like a dream. "Count us-" He was cut off as a figure came running out of the bushes. "Martin! Are you there, Martin!"
