"Well... judging by his smock, and his point of origin, I'd say he's been following you far before we came upon the pirates. Maybe he is an escapee from the Abbey. But no time to discuss that now. Let's move before we get spotted."

" whas a abbey?" the mousebabe asked quietly, following them. He had seen the vermin horde...and managed to evade them. He gripped the stone in his paw tightly. He could not lose it. Papa told him not to... even though he hadn;t seen papa in a long time, he remembered he was not to lose the stone, no matter what.

The Abbess picked up the young mouse. "The Abbey of Redwall is where we live. Would you like to come back with us after all this?" Rakko looked at the babe, now in the Abbess' paws. "We would know if he came from the Abbey. Yer right though, we should get movin'."

The party moved around the vermin encampment, which was a setup of ragged tents made out of ship's canvas. They all rested on the hill leading up to the fortress ruins of Marshank, where the biggest tent was set up in the one-time courtyard. The party traveled through the brush once again, coming upon a small glade hemmed in by trees. The breaking of waves against the steep cliffs could be heard clearly. Situated in the clearing was a simple log cabin and a well, along with some well-tended plants in the side-yard. As they approached, Silas spoke, "Well, it ain't much, but it's home. Make yerselves comfy while I heat up some lunch."

"i like a live inna abbey. Sounds ferry nice..." the mousebabe said, in the abbess's arms. He looked at the log cabin, and the small yard filled with plants. " whacha mean ain't much? 's awot!" he said, and to him it was. At least, compared to where he had come from it was.

**Since Brink logged, guess I'll post.**
"Well, it's not much compared to peace livin'." He went inside the cabin and came out with an odd-looking pot with a lid on top of it. He put it down on a nearby outdoor table with a thunk!

The Abbess stood with Dwopple still in her arms. Rakko looked up at Silas. "Should we storm them? I'm sure the Abbess could remember some fighting ways if she's lent a good dagger or bow."

** if you wanna go on a small sidequest, we can get ALOT more allies. Tell me if ya do.....**
Dwopple accidentally dropped his stone, yet again. He tried to reach down to pick it up, yet couldn't from the Abbess's arms. The sun hit it on the ground, where it sprakled like green fire. " whas inna pot?" the mousebabe asked, looking at it hungrily.

The Abbess bent down to pick up the stone. She looked it over befor handing it back to him.
**Silas logged out so ye can reply...I dunno about the sidequest though...ye should ask him.**

"fanks!" he said, looking around him. The cabin seemed peaceful, the air had the tension of war about it though.

**Sorry guys my MSN is acting up on me so this is the only way to talk. I'll write more a little bit later.**
"Ths pot contains some apples with some honey in a cake mixture. Where I used to live, it was called Apple Cobbler. Very sweet, and hot too. Lemme get the rest of the food." He then went inside to retrieve five wooden bowls, with spoons and forks set out. Four glass mugs were placed on the table also, along with a wooden cup for Dwopple. Silas opened up a canteen from the bottom of the well (to keep it cool) and poured out strawberry cordial. He set out another such pot, but this time it was filled with a sort of bread mixed with cheese and other delicious bits inside. As they ate, Silas remarked, "Well, if you'd want to storm the place be my guest. But I'd suggest scouting them out. See what they're up to. They're goin' somewhere, I've seen 'em talkin' about it."

"where'do ya fink dere going?" Dwopple asked, sipping the cordial and taking a bite of the bread. It was very good, bits of meat and cheese inside of it. The mousebabe eyed the Apple Cobbler, which was just out of reach of his small paws.

Silas poured some of the steamy semi-solid dish into everyone's bowls, then said "Well, that's what I'm going to find out, isn't it?" Then he ate his own portion with alarming speed.
