A young badger ran towards the main gates of the famed Redwall abbey. As he reached them, he stood and looked up at the walls, they were alot taller when he was a babe. He pulled back his fist and let out one fell pound on the gates of the Abbey. His jet black fur was starting to get wet as the rain seemed to follow him from Mossflower wood. He shook his head to get the water out of his eyes and hit the door again, and called up.
"Any beast up to let me in out of the rain?!"
He rubbed the one white spot on his head, hopeing someone would come to let him in. He had ran from Salamandastron to Redwall in a two day period. He was exhausted his paws blistered, and his back rubbed raw from his claymore scabbard. His dark red tunic was turning darker and darker as the rain continued to fall. He rubbed his right eye, which was blue, as the left one was black, He was a very odd looking Badger.
"Don't tell me I have to sleep in the rain after this run..."

"Halloooo down there!" hailed a rather cheery voice from the top of the ramparts, clear and joyous despite the rain. A white head popped itself over the stones, peering down at the creature below. "'lo thar, mate! I don't reckon ye'd be vermin, seein' yore badger'n all that, eh?" The white-furred creature, fur plastered against her face from the falling wetness waved down to him. "I'll be down in a moment t'open th' gates fer ye; didn't think ennybeast'd out in this weather though." *** Without much mishap, Aeorys trotted down the staircase, opening the gates for the young badger. "Whew...you're a big fella, ain'tcha? Look much smaller from above, y'did. Welcome t'Red'all, mate!"

An otter's head popped out from a tree and few yards behind the bagder. He cupped his paw over his mouth and threw his voice to make it sound as if it were comming from above the gate. " Be ye' frined or foe?!"

The badger, taken aback from the voice from behind, looked over his shoulder.
"I be friend! And very very wet!"
He continued into the gates and held his hand out to shake Aeorys paw, still sort of walking, his feet acheing from the pain.
"Thank ye so much... I don't know how much longer I could have lasted. And yeah.. I'm a big one all right.. And if ya don't mind... A nice tall Ale and some hot soup would be wonderful on this nice and rainy day."
Bhlacksun was wavering from his journey his footpaws were raw, and all he wanted to do right now was eat, then sleep.
(((how awful was that post...)))

"Hey! I -...Gah!" He lost his grip in the tree and fell to earth landing with a thump. He staggerd to his feet and made a quick sprint to the gate. " He aint touchin' my hotroot!" he shouted running past them both opening the abbey door and closing them behind him.
